A workshop for singers who are interested in gaining new experience in the simplest form using just upright bass and voice! The 2nd half of the workshop will be an informational demo with hand outs on basic types of vocal microphones, how they are used and choosing the best mic for you!

Music of Julie London & Music of Johnny Mercer rolled into two music sets. Julie London sang many of Mercer's tunes as well as those of her husband Bobby Troup. My pianist partner is Tommy DeSalvo this evening! Bassist and long time musical friend Cedric Israel joins us and the ever so smooth Trombonist Tony Baker!
Diana Dill Savage comes from a talented family. Her mother wrote three musicals back in the 60's and early 70's. She is showcasing selected songs from all three shows and anticipating producing one of them in 2018. I will be singing. I'm thrilled to be performing one of the songs based on romance, a department store & The Making of A Mannequin! Being a past retailer this show hit home for me. I know you'll enjoy this evening of song.

The well-known jazz standard "A Child Is Born" (arranged by Paris Rutherford for D'Accord Music Co.) features well known German born Dallas resident, guitarist, Hans York.
