“Sammons Center For The Arts honors Carolyn Lee Jones as CABARET ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2017.” Since launching her music career in 2008, Carolyn Lee Jones has created, produced and performed themed cabaret- jazz shows to sell-out crowds including; “Pardon My Southern Accent” and “Too Marvelous for Words” (the music of Johnny Mercer), “Songs From My Mother’s Piano Bench” (a romp through The Great American Songbook), I’d Rather Lead a Band” (jazz, jazz and more jazz) and “Night Time Singer” and “Girl Talk” (the music of Julie London) and “Hooray For The Girls”, (celebrating female composers and lyricists).
