My 92 yr old neighbor Suzanne Starling (RIP) in the ” old neighborhood ” was an educator and a full fledged historian who researched and served on the boards of many historic Texas projects. She wrote this as part of a memoir she was working on about 15 years ago. Our old 1914 historic house is in the hands of a wonderful couple who love it as much as we did.
